These are the original tail light covers. One is in perfect shape but one suffard a collision...not sure with what but it had a little hole in it. Nothing a little dab on silicone and a piece of another broken tail light couldn't fix! You can still buy these lenses fron Vintage Trailer Supply but they will set you back a meer $25 bucks each.

The original lights were too rusty to use so I started my search for replacements. No luck. Then I found out the Bargeman company no longer makes these, or anybody for that matter, makes these #99 lights. So what to do, what to do...put my punkin head to work! I read that these lights are very simillar to gallon paint can lids...what to do, what to do...go top Lowes and but paint cans! GREAT GRAVEY it worked! Me and Daddy constructed the same light, that was no longer made, out of paint can lids. Kinda professional lookin huh?

She has paint!

The stripe is painted! Next step is to put the information plates back on, door latches, lights, gas tank and lots more, but the worst part is over! The color is a cranberry color but you can not see it very good. I will take better ones when i get it pulled out of the building. She is almost ready to make an appearance! I can not wait to get that awning on it!

Ut oh! A dirt dobber set up house in my regulator. I think we got it out but can't check because the propane tank that I got yesterday at Lowes (not Lowes fault) will not work correctly. Its full but when you turn on the valve nothing comes out. Hummmm....RETREAT!!!!!!!!! I'm goin back to Lowes today to swap it out. Errrrrrr! I assure you one thing, I will check out the next one to make sure it works before I travel another 20 some miles again.

Roof...

Oh the good thing about a rainy spring is I found out my roof leaks! The tar that we thought would work(hey it works on houses and this IS a miniture house, aint it?) didn't! So back to Lowes (Morganton) I go! Daddy said get 100 percent silicone so I did. Now I have to get back up there with that dang heat gun again and get all that tar off again (rolls eyes). Well it will be all worth it in the end.

Can't wait to get home and work on...(Insert name here).

Oh yea Daddy sand blasted the bumper and the tongue last Saturday so that part is ready for a bit of paint now.

OK back to the work I get paid to do. I will snap more pictures this evening and post them here. Check back later to see (insert name here) take her maiden voyage!!!!!

I am making the awning for the winged wonder. I talked Daddy into letting me paint the stripe a cranberry color. The theme inside is going to be the old timey red white and blue stars and strips. I have lots of neet stuff for the interior.
